If you are planning a fall wedding, you probably are searching for creative ways to project your theme. Here are some fall wedding ideas that are sure to turn heads.
Make Her a "Leaf Girl" Instead
The traditional scene that begins a wedding is a cute little flower girl throwing red or pink rose petals before the bride enters. The color contrast of the red against the usual white background of the wedding sets the scene for the display of love that is sure to take place at the event. But we have to be more creative when coming up with fall wedding ideas.

When planning a fall wedding, why not turn her into the "leaf girl." Instead of giving the lovely darling a basket full of rose petals, give her a carefully selected arrangement of freshly fallen leaves.

They have to be hand picked—don’t take a rake, grab up a bunch of leaves and throw them into a basket. Nooo, you don’t want to do that!

The leaves should be fully intact with no holes, solid edges, and still have some retained moisture. Most importantly they should be colorful. Think about how leaves look when they are dry and crackly in your driveway. Now think about planning a fall wedding where those same crackly leaves are strewn across your aisle. Not so attractive, eh?

So leaves being thrown before the bride are just one of many great fall wedding ideas, but you need to be sure they are fresh and moist.
Fall Accented Sash for the Bride
If you are trying to go all out with your list of fall wedding ideas, and are not one to be tied down by strict wedding traditions, why not be a little risqué and break up the uninterrupted white with a fall themed wedding sash, tied around the waist, or thrown across the shoulder.

The sash should be wide, at least eight inches in width, and at least twice the width of your waistline. The longer the better; a beautiful sash will tie at the back and Fall past the knees.

When planning a fall wedding, it is a good idea to get a list of popular fall colors to work with. Common fall colors include reds, oranges, yellows, and greens. You are not limited to the exact colors, use variations in your designs.

So for your fall wedding sash, decide on a fabric that incorporates striking, vivid colors that reflect this beautiful season. Maybe a deep burgundy or a glimmery gold that will have your guests ooohhhing and aaahhhing as you walk down the aisle. Fall wedding ideas are only brought to fruition with the use of carefully selected, original color themes.

When planning a fall wedding, don’t feel limited by traditional themes or even by traditional wedding favors. This is your wedding after all, not your grandmother’s. Incorporating different fall wedding ideas, such as throwing leaves instead of flowers, and tying in a fall wedding sash with the bride’s gown, are perfect ways to accomplish your goal of an autumn themed wedding.
